I’m getting better at speaking now and can say Daddy, Mummy, Nanny, Grandad and Juice much clearer than before.

My favourite word at the moment though is “Doggy!” - I get carried away and race around the floor saying “Doggygoggygoggygoggygoggygoggy!”

I have now learnt to wave when I say goodbye to people!

I’m getting bored of baby food, so today I got Mummy to make me some Strawberry Jam on toast. It was very nice and very messy!

I’m getting really good at standing up now. Sometimes I can stand on my own for about 20 seconds. I am a bit scared of taking any steps, but I’ll try it one day.

In addition to my two bottom teeth, I now have two top teeth and more on the way. I like having teeth to munch with, but they’ve been making me feel a bit ill. I like to grate my teeth together, but Mummy & Daddy don’t like it when I do that.

Tomorrow is Great Grandad George’s 80th birthday. Daddy had to go out to work tonight, but Mummy and I went to a special birthday meal with Great Grandad and lots of other family members. I eat some of Mummy’s fish and chips and also attacked Grandad & Nanny Christine’s chocolate pudding. I gave Great Grandad a nice kiss to say happy birthday.

Nanny and Grandad Rob came to visit for the weekend. Nanny & I played with my toys and I showed them how good I am at dancing now.

In the evening Mummy & Daddy took me to see the fireworks in Witham with Mummy’s friend Sarah and Sarah’s Mum. Just like last time (at New Year’s Eve) I managed to sleep through the whole event. Right through the live band, the firework bangs and flashes, the fairground noises and the greatest hits of The Prodigy! I woke up again when we got back to the car. Never mind, maybe next year I should have some coffee before I leave the house.
